The band is composed of Zel Bautista on vocals and guitars, Jem Manuel on guitars, Don Gregorio on bass, Jet Danao on drums and backing vocals, and Gelo Cruz on keyboards and backing vocals. Bautista, Manuel, Gregorio, and Danao started out in their alma mater University of Santo Tomas in 2007. Cruz, an alumnus of De La Salle-College of St. Benilde, was later added in 2016. Bautista is the chief composer of the band.[

IV OF SPADES
IV of Spades (pronounced “four of spades”[5]) is a Filipino band from Manila, Philippines, consisting of lead vocalist and bassist Zild Benitez, lead guitarist Blaster Silonga, and drummer Badjao de Castro. Unique served as the band’s lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist until 2018.[6]The band first gained exposure with the release of their 4th single “Mundo”.[7][8] Their musical style has been described as “pop funk”[9] and funk rock by the local press.[10][11][12][13][14] IV of Spades has been nominated for several musical awards, both in the Philippines and internationally.[15][16] The band is also known for their 1970s-inspired outfits.[17]

Despite having “Edgar” in the band’s name, none of the members are named Edgar.

The band is composed of Jay Contreras , Francis Jacob Garcia (vocals), Jomal Linao (guitar), Led Tuyay (rhythm guitar), Puto Astete (bass) and Bords Burdeos (drums). Fans and critics have described the band’s music as a mix of pop-punk and hard rock. In August 2015, the band had temporarily reunited after a brief hiatus announced earlier in January 2015 and in 2016 the band officially entered an indefinite hiatus. They played their farewell concert on December 10 2015 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.[1]
